NMRA Achievement Program: Structures

While I am not actively working towards the Structures certificate, it is one of the NMRA Achievement categories. I may decide to work towards it, and it makes sense to be aware of the requirements as I work on the planning and construction of the layout.  Improving my modeling is one of the goals of building this layout; as such, working towards the requirements provides a framework for improvement. 

While I am not going into details of the requirements at this point, for the Structures Certificate twelve structures must be built with written documentation for all twelve that include:

• Attachment with detailed description
• Identification of scratch built features
• List of commercial components
• Materials used

Since I may work towards this in the future, it would be prudent for me to be aware of and include this written documentation as I write posts about the structures as I proceed.
